Dysport is a cosmetic wrinkle relaxer that diminishes dynamic lines and creases throughout the face, including 11 lines between the brows. Similar to BOTOX®, Dysport is made from a refined strain of botulinum toxin type A in order to temporarily relax or freeze certain muscles in your facial area. When these regions are relaxed, the repeated contractions that produce dynamic wrinkles will be prevented, and the skin attached to the muscle is tightened. This enables you to frown, smile, and make as many facial expressions as you want without leading to wrinkles and fine lines. It also delivers refreshed outcomes that don't make your face look frozen. How Does Dysport Work?
Dysport injectables are administered in a procedure room after your discussion and exam with Dr. Klingerman, and usually takes about 15 – 30 minutes. A numbing cream is typically not needed since Dysport is administered using a fine needle that leads to little discomfort, but it will be given if requested. Once the skin has been cleansed, several Dysport injections will be marked across the brow area, followed by a cold pack to diminish bruising and swelling. After your injections at NABI Medical Aesthetics, you can resume your daily routine, but you should try to stay away from strenuous exercise for at least a day.
